What is embroidery?
If a motif is to be embroidered, an embroidery program is written for this purpose. This programming is called punching. Each stitch that the embroidery machine is to make can be edited individually. The motif is then transferred to the embroidery machine, the fabric is clamped into a special embroidery frame, and then embroidered. To ensure that the motif retains its shape during embroidery, an embroidery backing is embroidered underneath the fabric for stabilization.
