What is Flock Printing?
In flock printing, the contours of the motif are cut into a colored foil in reverse using a cutting plotter. This foil consists of a self-adhesive backing layer and a fluffy flock fiber layer. The motif is then weeded, which means that the excess foil is removed. The textile is then clamped into a transfer press and the foil is positioned on the textile. Under heat and pressure, the adhesive on the foil is activated and bonds with the textile fibers.
