With flocking transfer, a vector grafic is send to a cutting plotter.
The information within the vector file controls a small knife on the cutting plotter.
This knife cuts into a very razor-thin flockfoil, consisting of a self-adhesive carrier and a dyed flockfoil.
After the grafic is cutted into the foil, it has to be weeded.
That means that the surplus material has to be removed.
When the flockfoil is weeded, the textile will be layed down on the heat press and the foil will be positioned properly.After the foil is positioned, the heat press will be closed. While under heat and pressure, the adhesive layer of the flockvinyl starts melting and connecting the dyed flockfoil with the textile fibers.

Was ist Flockdruck?
Beim Flockdruck werden die Konturen des Motivs seitenverkehrt mit einem Schneideplotter in eine farbige Folie geschnitten. Diese besteht aus einer selbstklebenden Trägerschicht und einer flauschigen Flockfaserschicht. Danach wird das Motiv entgittert. Das bedeutet, dass die überschüssige Folie entfernt wird. Das Textil wird dann in eine Transferpresse eingespannt und die Folie auf dem Textil in Position gebracht. Unter Hitze und Druck wird der Kleber der Folie aktiviert und verbindet sich mit der Textilfaser.
